Making his final state-of-the-district address Friday, Dallas Superintendent Michael Hinojosa spoke clearly about the need to create what he views as a premier urban district.
Hinojosa spotlighted the district's P-Tech program which exposes students to technology which will make them qualified for higher-paying jobs.
Speaking to a large crowd of teachers, district staffers, business and community leaders and elected officials, Hinojosa said he considers P-Tech one of his best accomplishments.
Earlier this year, Hinojosa announced he is retiring as of the end of 2022.
