DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- A Dallas man will face a murder trial in Collin County for selling the fentanyl-laced pills that killed a woman in the northeast Collin County town of Blue Ridge.

25-year-old Gregory Honesty could face life in prison if he's convicted of murder in this fentanyl-related case. A Collin County grand jury has indicted Honesty under a relatively new law that allows police to arrest those who traffic counterfeit pills that are laced with fentanyl.

In November, police say one of Honesty's pills killed 25-year-old Zoe Behen of Blue Ridge. Steven Behen is her father.

He is well aware of stats that show fentanyl poisoning is now at the top of the causes of death in young people. He says the indictment shows the justice system is moving forward against fentanyl dealers.
