The Dallas man who got into a gunfight with a federal task force Thursday is now listed in stable condition.

Police reports say officers had gone to the Dallas apartment searching for Jordan Owens when they say he opened fire, wounding one officer.

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia released details of the incident saying Owens was armed with a pistol that had been converted into an automatic weapon and was firing at police before they wounded Owens.

Owens was wanted for a capital murder that happened the day before. He now faces more charges of aggravated assault against a public servant for shooting at police.
