A North Texas man who operated an empire of nightclubs in the area will be going away for a while, after allowing drugs to be openly sold.

Investigators called it "Operation Closing Time" and in all nailed more than 30 people, all of whom have been convicted, including two former Dallas Police Officers.


Alfredo Hinojosa ran the OK Corral and Far West clubs in Dallas. He and two of his managers were found guilty of managing drug premises, conspiracy to manage drug premises, and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.

Revenues from the conglomeration of businesses brought exceeded $107 million over a four-year period according to records.

The sale of drugs brought in more customers according to prosecutors. It added between $9 million and $12 million.

The three face a minimum of 10 years in prison, but could get up to life.​
