DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- One person is locked up in Dallas where a police officer fired his sidearm during a confrontation Thursday night.
Just before 9 p.m. police were called because some people were drinking and firing a gun in the air on Rustown Drive near Ferguson and Oates in East Dallas. Officers got there to break it up when one of the people, described only as a male, began to run away down an alley.
There was a verbal confrontation and the male did not do what he was told. That's the point where the officer opened fire. The male was not struck and no one was hurt.
Police arrested him without any further problems.
