DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- It was a horrifying attack in the middle of the day. It was all caught on camera. Less than a week of searching for a suspect, Dallas police say they have made an arrest.
The attack happened last Thursday just after 1 p.m. in downtown while a woman was standing on the corner of Elm Street and Field. Police say a man approached the woman from behind and hit her in the head with something before walking away. The horrifying video, as provided by our media partner NBC 5, shows the woman fall to the ground immediately.
Police tell KRLD they have charged 36-year-old Antonio Banks with aggravated assault in the attack. He was already in jail on other charges.
There is still no information on a motive.
