Tomorrow afternoon, you can help the Dallas Police celebrate a little boy's belated birthday.
Back on February 17th, Kavaughn Joseph suffered critical injuries as he was attacked by a pit bull as he was getting off a school bus on Timberglen Road. What's worse is February 17th was his birthday, so he had to spend his birthday in an emergency room instead of with his family eating birthday cake and opening presents.
With Kavaughn now on the mend, the Dallas Police Department will be throwing him a birthday party, and you're invited!
Officer Jason Randolph says Kavaughn still can't eat food just yet, so leave your culinary creations at home. But there are things that you can bring.
"We would love it if anybody wants to bring gifts and popsicles to help celebrate him" said Officer Randolph.
Now here's the important part, Kavaughn has no idea that this is happening. So if you know him or his family, be sure not to say anything.
The party is at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dallas Police North Central Station on McCullum Boulevard.
