Dallas (1080 KRLD)- Dallas Police shot and killed a man this afternoon after a crime spree that ended when the suspect pointed a gun at officers at 635 and Coit.
Chief Eddie Garcia says the suspect tried to carjack a woman before robbing a CVS store, and running across all lanes of 635 and pulling a gun on officers.
Chief Garcia says: "Three officers fired. He was hit at least one time and was transported to Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation revealed so far that what appeared to be a handgun was actually a replica firearm that looked exactly like a revolver."
Chief Garcia says the man is also believed to have robbed a Fiesta store at gunpoint earlier this afternoon. The area of 635 and Coit was shut down for several hours Monday afternoon.
