
A Dallas Police officer was injured Friday morning while responding to a call. The officer was injured in a crash along Loop 12 in Southeast Dallas just before 5 a.m.
Dallas Police were called to a report of gunfire at an apartment complex near Bonnie View and Simpson Stuart about 4:30 Friday morning.
Police say officers were driving east on Loop 12/Ledbetter just past Lancaster Road about 4:50. They say a car pulled out from a stop sign on Bronx Avenue, and a police car hit the other car.
Police say one officer went to the hospital along with the driver of the other car. Both are expected to recover.
At 9:30 Friday morning, Loop 12/Ledbetter was still closed east of Lancaster Road. Police are investigating the crash, and they are also trying to find the person who reported gunfire. They say the report of gunfire may have been false.
