Dallas police are searching for a 37-year-old man after an officer-involved shooting Friday morning in Northeast Dallas that also involved the stabbing of a woman.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the incident occurred around 7 a.m. in the 8500 block of Park Lane near Hemlock Avenue. Officers responded to a call in the area when a suspect encountered one of the officers. The officer fired shots, and the suspect fled. No officers were injured, police said.
Dallas police identified the suspect as Isidoro Melo-Munoz. He is believed to have stabbed a woman at the scene before running from officers. Melo-Munoz is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds.

Commanders and the department’s public information officers responded to the scene as the investigation continued. Police asked anyone who sees the suspect to call 911 immediately and not approach him.
This incident is the latest in a series of officer-involved shootings in Dallas over a short period. The Dallas Police Department is leading the investigation and continues to seek additional information from the public.
The department released a photo of Melo-Munoz and urged residents to remain cautious while the search continues.
