DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- Dallas police say an officer-involved shooting Wednesday resulted in officers critically injuring a suspect but only after he first opened fire at police.
Around 9:45 am police responded to the 9600 block of CF Hawn Freeway on a report about stolen items. Just before 10:00 am, officers discovered the male suspect was inside a room who then proceeded to open fire at the officers.
Preliminary investigation suggests the officers returned fire hitting the suspect who was then taken to a local hospital critically injured. No officers were injured in the incident.
No other details as to the investigation of this shooting have been made available at this time.
