One man is dead after officers shot him for pointing a gun at a SWAT team member in West Dallas on Friday morning.
The Dallas Police Department is investing the officer-involved shooting. They say a SWAT team was executing a drug warrant to the home on Shaw Street off Canada Drive and Sylvan Avenue in West Dallas.
Police say when SWAT arrived on scene, they found the suspect with a gun, he then pointed the gun "directly to the officer's head," and that's when shots were fired.
Chief Daneil Comeaux says the man was pronounced dead on the scene. Police have yet to release more information about the shooting.
