Reports say James Faith was shot while he and his wife Jennifer were out walking their dog. He later died.

In the days following, an emotional Jennifer made tearful television appeals for help finding her husband's killer. Within hours, a GoFundMe account had raised $60,000 and $30,000 of that was withdrawn four days after the killing.

Jennifer Faith pleaded guilty to federal murder-for-hire charges on Monday. It turned out the killer was an old boyfriend. The two of them had rekindled their relationship and prosecutors say Jennifer Faith manipulated Darrin Lopez into committing the murder.

Lopez is still awaiting trial for his role in the murder-for-hire plot.
