Dallas Area Rapid Transit is introducing new touchscreen ticket-vending machines this week at rail stations across North Texas, expanding the ways riders can purchase fares.

The updated machines support cash, credit cards, and mobile wallets, and they also allow passengers to check balances and recent transactions tied to their GoPass accounts.

The rollout is part of DART’s ongoing effort to modernize its fare system and streamline access for both regular commuters and visitors. The agency has gradually shifted toward digital ticketing in recent years, with the GoPass app serving as a primary tool for riders.

DART says the new machines are designed to offer a simpler, more intuitive experience for people who prefer or need to buy tickets at the station. The upgrades are being installed systemwide throughout the week.
