People who waited for at least five hours on a Decatur school board decision are still confused about what happened.

Last night the school board met in a special session to discuss the job performance of Superintendent Joseph Coburn.

Based on Wise County Messenger tweets, before going into a closed session, trustees heard from ten people, seven were critical. Several of them complained about Critical Race Theory.

After emerging from their secret session, trustees told the school district's attorney and the school board president to take the action they had discussed behind closed doors. But no one is willing to say what that is or why they're keeping it secret.
