Defense Secretary Hegseth tours Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth and SpaceX Starbase in Texas

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is visiting Lockheed Martin’s Fort Worth facility and SpaceX’s Starbase site in Brownsville today as part of a broader tour of U.S. defense industry operations.

The stops focus on military aircraft production and next-generation space and launch capabilities critical to national defense.

The visit includes Lockheed Martin’s Fort Worth campus, where F-35 fighter jets are assembled for the U.S. military and allied nations, and SpaceX’s Starbase complex near the Texas-Mexico border, which supports rocket development and testing.

Defense officials say the tour is part of ongoing engagement with private companies that play a key role in defense manufacturing and innovation.
