Anger is boiling over in the Democratic Party after President Trump is recorded trying to goad Georgia officials into "finding" more than 11-thousand votes.
Congressman Marc Veasey (D Fort Worth) says President Trump has to be held accountable and cannot simply slide by the next two weeks unchecked. While he doesn't think there can be a second impeachment, Veasey says criminal investigations once the President is out of office are a must.
"Do we want to have a democracy or do we want to have an authoritarian style of government, which has not boded well for people around the world and has only led to misery. Because if we don't stand together against this kind of crap that's exactly where we are headed." said Veasey.
Veasey is hoping there will be an investigation once Mr. Trump leaves office on January 20.
As for Texas Senator Ted Cruz leading the effort to delay Wednesday's electoral college count, Veasey called it nothing short of embarrassing.
"I know that Cruz wants to run for President again in 2024 but I think it's a complete embarrassment to be quite honest with you. And I'm surprised that he would do this." Veasey said.
