Denton County Director of emergency management dies from COVID-19

Denton County's director of emergency management has died from COVID-19, according to reports.

Chief Roland Asebedo died yesterday at the age of 56. Denton County says Asebedo died of complications of COVID-19.

Asebedo worked in emergency services for more than 30 years.

He joined Denton County Emergency Services in May of 2004. Since that time, he worked his way up the ranks, becoming the county's Fire Marshal and Director of Emergency Management last October.
