Slowly but surely Denton County health officials say things are getting better when it comes to the fight against COVID-19.
Public Health Director Dr. Matt Richardson says Denton County hospitals are seeing fewer patients with COVID-19. New cases are going down and children aren't getting the virus as often.
"Our recoveries are beginning to build and so we're hopeful to see fewer and fewer cases that are active," Richardson said.
He expects these trends will continue as the county has started giving Pfizer booster shots for those who are eligible. But, if you had the Moderna or Johnson and Johnson shot you'll have to wait for booster approval.
