A 31-year-old Denton man has been charged with murder after investigators linked him to the January death of Cory Johnson who was shot inside his own apartment.
Police reports say a man identified as Darontay Dashield worked with and had stayed with Johnson, prior to the shooting on Jan. 11.
Investigators linked Dashield to Johnson through witness interviews and evidence and they believe he was at Johnson’s apartment at the time of the murder.
Police located and arrested Dashield in the 500 block of Robertson Street on Monday afternoon.
