DENTON (1080 KRLD)- Denton police arrested the man they say attacked a woman earlier this month and tried to kidnap her.
Police say the victim was walking down West Hickory Street when a man ran by her and she heard a 'zapping noise'. Police say the victim tried to hit him with her groceries when he used a stun gun on her and pushed her to the ground.
When she screamed he got his car and drove off. The victim was able to give detectives a partial license plate number.
Police talked to nearby residents, and reviewed surveillance footage in the area and were able to identify the suspect.
Officers obtained an arrest warrant for attempted aggravated kidnapping for 19-year-old Joseph Moore and took him into custody.
He's in the Denton City jail on a two million dollar bond.
