Police in Denton are now asking for the public's help to find the driver of an 18 wheeler that struck and killed a pedestrian.
Police say just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, officers were called to the northbound I-35 service road at W. University Drive after a pedestrian was hit by a truck.
Police say the driver of the truck didn't stop and sped off. The man who was hit was identified as 60-year-old Christopher Yarmie. He died at the hospital later that night.
Investigators say the truck was a dark-colored Peterbilt truck cab with a livestock trailer attached. Surveillance video from the area spotted the vehicle. They are asking anyone with information to call investigators.
