A Denton woman has died after being trapped in the wreckage of a terrible crash on Highway 380 just west of Denton Wednesday evening.
Just past 7:30 p.m. officials say a car and a pick-up truck smashed into one another on Hwy 380 near Cottonwood Lane. The westbound side of the highway was closed for hours as four ambulances and a medical helicopter were sent.
Firefighters used power tools to pry the victims out of the wreckage. A Denton woman named Patricia Tovar Castro was flown to Medical City Denton where she was pronounced dead last night.
Other victims including at least one child were also rushed to the hospital. The child is reported to be in critical condition. Police have not said which driver is to blame.
