DeSoto Police are investigating an early morning shooting where the suspect and homeowner shot each other.
Police say they got the 911 call after 6:00 this morning about the shooting at a home on Eldorado Drive. When they got there they found 22-year-old Kristian Tyerone Smith lying on the pavement outside.
Inside the house they found the body of 25-year-old Wendon Lekeith Blair.
Police are still investigating but say it looks like a fight broke out between the men over a woman who was at the home. They go on to say Smith came to the home demanding to see the woman and shot Blair when he didn't let him in. Blair fired back before he died of his injuries. Smith was taken to the hospital, then taken into custody.
