The Texas Medical Board suspended the license of a North Texas doctor after a woman died following a visit to his med spa. They say he's a threat to the public.

The doctor is Michael Gallagher who has a practice in Frisco. He's listed as acting medical director for Luxe Med Spa in Wortham Texas, about an hour outside of Waco.

His license was temporarily suspended last week after a woman died after receiving IV therapy at the spa. According to reports, 47-year-old Jenifer Cleveland went to the spa on July 10th for infusion therapy.

The board claims she was administered the IV by spa owner Amber Johnson, who is not licensed to perform the treatment. Because the infusion requires a prescription and is known to cause complications, a medical license is required to treat people.

After the treatment, Cleveland collapsed at the spa and died later at the hospital. Police continue to investigate her death. They are waiting for the final autopsy results.
