No one was seriously hurt in a vicious dog attack in Haltom City. It happened Sunday at the Mosaic Apartments on Beach St.
"A dog belonging to a resident at that apartment complex had gotten out and has subsequently injured three people, including a young child," Haltom City Police Det. Matthew Spillane said. "Two of the adults were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor wounds. The child was treated on scene by medical personnel. There was a fourth adult that tried to intervene in the attack and during his intervention was also injured and treated on scene."
The dog was injured as it was being subdued.
"The owner of the animal surrendered the dog to the city," Det. Spillane said. "Based upon the injuries to the animal and the aggressive nature of the dog, unfortunately, the dog had to be euthanized."
Spillane says no charges are expected to be filed.
