Three months after off-duty Euless police officer Alex Cervantes was killed in a drunk-driving crash, the accused driver has been indicted on an intoxicated manslaughter charge.
Dylan Molina was also indicted on three counts of intoxicated assault because Cervantes' wife and two children were seriously hurt in the crash. Priscilla Cervantes was in a coma for a month following the crash.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Cervantes family was driving in Lake Worth when they were hit by a car that ran a red light.
A man later identified as Molina was seen running from the scene but he was tracked down quickly.
Tests showed his blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit for driving. Molina remains locked up in the Tarrant County jail on a $300,000 bond.
