Drowning victims recovered on Lake Lewisville

Lewisville (1080 KRLD) - The bodies of two women who drowned at Lake Lewisville have been recovered by dive teams.

The women were on a pontoon boat when they were knocked into the water by large waves just before 8 o'clock Sunday evening. Authorities say they were not wearing life jackets.

Crews from Highland Village, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Denton County, the Texas DPS, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department all responded to the scene and assisted with the search. The bodies were recovered after midnight according to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.

The two have been identified as Teegan Hill and Troinee Broom. Hill was celebrating her 31st birthday​.
