The iconic Dutch Orange Bus has arrived in Texas after a 26-day journey across the Atlantic, docking at the Port of Galveston to support Netherlands fans during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The bright orange double-decker bus, a longtime symbol of the “Oranje Legion” fan base, was shipped from Belgium by the Dutch Orange Bus Association. Logistics partner DHL Global Forwarding handled the 4,500-mile ocean transport to ensure safe delivery ahead of the tournament. The bus reached Galveston in mid-May and made its public debut with fan celebrations on June 11.

Fans lined the streets of Galveston Island as the bus departed Saengerfest Park, traveling along the Strand and Seawall Boulevard before heading toward North Texas. The vehicle will support Dutch supporters for matches including the Netherlands versus Japan on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The bus has become a global tradition since the association started it as a lighthearted project in 2004. It has traveled to multiple World Cups and major tournaments, drawing large crowds with its festive atmosphere, music, and orange-clad fans.

Local tourism leaders in Galveston welcomed the arrival as a boost for the island and greater Houston area, highlighting Texas hospitality for international visitors. The bus is expected to make additional stops in the region as the Netherlands team advances in the tournament.
