Back in 2020, all of DFW came together to go after one common enemy: E-Scooters. Once scattered throughout the metroplex, the rentable scooters quickly went away when the city of Dallas made vendors remove them due to safety concerns. However, ever since, there has been talk of the scooters returning to North Texas, and now that is one step closer to becoming a reality.
On Wednesday, the Dallas City Council was briefed on potential new rules for E-Scooters. The Council will now incorporate suggestions from City Council and present any code changes during a meeting next week. If approved during the June 22 meeting, E Scooters will be back by October, according to Axios.
