An elderly woman struck by a vehicle and killed in Arlington over the weekend.
Police say that on Sunday morning, just before sunrise, the unidentified woman was crossing South Cooper street in south Arlington, near the Mansfield line. She was struck by a pick-up truck driver and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the female victim was wearing dark clothing and was not using a crosswalk.
The driver did stop as required and police don't see any reason to bring charges.
