Plano police say they have made an arrest in connection to Monday's hit and run that killed a 29-year-old woman.

Fifty-five-year-old Richard Crockett of Sherman faces a charge of failing to stop and render aid at an accident involving death in Monday's crash on the southbound side of U.S. Highway 75, Plano police said.

Twenty-nine-year-old Leah Daniels of McKinney was killed in the crash.

It was Monday night when Daniels' car stalled on the highway and she got rear-ended. She then got out of her car and was struck by the driver of a tractor-trailer and thrown into oncoming traffic, which killed her.

Police put out information about the semi-trailer that left the scene and announced an arrest in the case Friday. Daniels leaves behind a 5-year-old son.
