In Houston, Texas's largest city, 17 candidates are vying to replace Mayor Sylvester Turner, who's term-limited.
In Uvalde, voters are also electing a mayor. Among the candidates is news reporter Kimberly Mata-Rubio, whose daughter was killed in the school massacre there.
Also on the ballot in Texas are 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution, including limits on farming regulations, tax breaks for childcare centers, and increasing benefits for retired teachers.

In North Texas, voters will weigh in on dozens of municipal propositions.
The Prosper district has a total of more than $3 Billion on the ballot to pay for new schools, technology upgrades, more school buses, a performing arts center, and new all-district stadium complex worth $95 Million. That would set a new record for a high school stadium.
Lewisville school district voters have bond issues worth $1.2 billion for upgrades in safety and security, technology, school buses, and athletic facilities including aquatic centers.
And 10 school districts have bond issues on the ballot, including Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, HEB, Lewisville, Prosper, and Wylie.
