An explosion at a power substation near Henrietta Creek Road in North Fort Worth ignited a large fire late Wednesday, prompting a multi-agency response.

Fire crews from Fort Worth, Saginaw, and Roanoke worked together to bring the blaze under control, Fort Worth fire officials said. Oncor, the company operating the substation, collaborated with firefighters to ensure their safety and rerouted electricity to prevent widespread outages.

No evacuations were ordered, but emergency crews kept nearby residents informed, allowing them to decide whether to stay in their homes.

Officials remained on-site to monitor the situation. The cause of the explosion and the extent of the damage were not immediately available.
