The family of a 17-year-old student who was fatally stabbed at a district track championship this week is speaking out as they grieve his loss.

Austin Metcalf, a student at Frisco Memorial High School, was killed Wednesday in front of his twin brother during the event. Authorities have arrested 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, a student at Centennial High School, who now faces a murder charge.

"He said something just inappropriate and uncalled for and I turned around and I asked him who he was," Hunter Metcalf said Thursday on the Will Cain Show. "He started getting aggressive. My brother stepped in, he started being how he always is, just brothers, just having my back."

Austin’s father said he forgives Anthony for his actions, while his mother told Cain she is "angry" at Anthony.

Anthony is currently jailed on a $1 million bond.
