A Collin County teacher is on administrative leave after she was accused of improperly restraining a 6-year-old student with special needs, district officials say.
Montana Williams said her son, Bobby Jacks, came home last Friday from Tatum Elementary in Farmersville and told her about the incident. Williams said she later reviewed a school video that appeared to show the restraint.
Police are investigating, and the district said all information has been forwarded to the Texas Education Agency.
Williams said her son has complained of knee pain since the incident, and she has withdrawn him from the school.
