A person was hospitalized with critical injuries following a shooting early Friday morning in southeast Fort Worth.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers responded to a call around 4:30 a.m. at a FedEx facility located near Village Creek Road and U.S. Highway 287. The incident took place in the employee parking lot, where the victim was reportedly shot in the torso.

Authorities say a suspect was detained at the scene. Investigators believe the shooting may have stemmed from an argument, though the exact circumstances are still under review.

The victim’s identity has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
