A huge stolen electronics ring operating out of North Texas has been busted by the FBI.
Over 100 people have been indicted in an operation that fenced stolen electronics overseas, some 70,000 cell phones, laptops, tablets and smart watches worth around $100 million.
Federeal investigator say sometimes the electronics were swiped by fraud, but often they were taken at gunpoint from stores scattered around North Texas, including stores in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Collyville, Flower Mound and a host of other towns.
The crime ring began to unravel in December when a part of the gang was busted in Fort Worth. That's when the Feds began to learn the extent of the gang and the international scope of the operation.
Nearly 80 people have been arrested so far.
