People are headed out on the roads and in the skies for one last summer holiday before life returns normal for so many people.

AAA-Texas does not predict a specific number of roadway travelers over Labor Day because fewer people take advantage compared to other summer holidays.

"Not as many people travel over Labor Day as they do Memorial Day or Fourth of July," Daniel Armbruster with AAA said.
"Saturday of Labor Day weekend is expected to be the busiest day on the roads."

Armbruster says in Texas they expect a 54 % increase for people traveling between Houston and Galveston.

Nationally, Seattle, New York, and Orlando are very popular destinations this time of year.

The Transportation Security Administration expects to screen at least 17.4-million travelers at the airports.
