DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- A fire breaks out at a church in Dallas Wednesday afternoon, making this the third church fire three weeks in a row.
Crews got the call around 3:30 about the fire in South Dallas at the New Generation Church at the intersection of 56th Street and Ivy Lane.
When they got there, they could see smoke and flames coming from the building.
Despite the heat, they were able to quickly put it out in about a half hour.
Nobody was hurt. This is the third church fire in Dallas in the last two weeks.
Last Friday, a firefighter was hurt battling the one at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The Friday before that, a massive fire at First Baptist Church destroyed the historic chapel there.
Investigations are currently underway to figure out how all of these church fires started.
