RICHLAND HILLS (1080 KRLD)-UPDATE: The fire has now been officially classified as a "five-alarm" fire.
Firefighters from Richland Hills, Fort Worth, Haltom City and North Richland Hills are working to put out a massive fire near 121 and Loop 820 at a foam recycling business.
A person has been reported injured in the massive fire in Richland Hills. According to Richland Hills PD, the person injured self-transported to the hospital prior to firefighter crews arriving at the scene. Their condition is unknown.
Black smoke can be seen for miles and fire officials are asking that people avoid the area. They are not making people evacuate, but are asking that people stay in their homes with their doors and windows closed.
Fire officials are calling this a 'very active scene.' The fire is burning at a business along Handley Ederville Road. There have been no reports of injuries.
