Two McKinney firefighters were injured while battling an overnight house fire.
It happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. in a home on Morris St.
"One had an apparent electrical shock while fighting the fire in the attic," says Merit Ossian, spokeswoman for the McKinney Fire Department, "and the second firefighter broke a finger while forcing entry into the home. Both were treated and released from the hospital. They're going to be fine."
As for the fire itself, firefighters quickly gained the upper hand.
"The fire was put out quickly," says Ossian, "and all the residents were safely evacuated."
The cause is still under investigation.
