With temperatures often in the upper 90s this summer, Fort Worth police and firefighters along with Tarrant County deputies have been fanning out to outfit low income families with air conditioning window units.
Yesterday morning, with temperatures already in the upper 80s heading for a high of 97, the first responders worked together to help an elderly woman whose home has no central air conditioning.
The air conditioner units are donated or are paid for by the assocations representing the the police, deputies and firefighters.
