Five Arlington Police Chief finalists answer questions at virtual forum

The five finalists to become Arlington's next police chief were introduced to the public at a forum last night.

During the forum, the five answered questions from a moderator at the empty E-Sports Stadium, part of the Arlington Convention Center complex.

The virtual event allowed the public to listen to the candidates and to submit questions.

The five candidates include two outside applicants; Baltimore County Police Colonel Alexander Jones, and Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Commander Jason Lando.

The three internal candidates are Assistant Chief Jaime Ayala, Assistant Chief Kevin Kolbye and Deputy Chief Tarrick McGuire.

These five have survived a process that began with 74 applicants to succeed retired Police Chief Will Johnson.
