Former Mansfield resident identified as one of Round Rock shooting victims

A former Mansfield woman was one of the two people fatally shot during a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock on Saturday.

Lyndsey Vicknair graduated from Mansfield High School and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in the city.

"I've known Lyndsey Vicknair since she was a child. She was baptized in this church," Bethlehem Baptist Church Rev. Michael Evans said.

Vicknair said he and Lyndsey attended that Juneteenth celebraton when a gunman opened fire.

"She said, 'I'm hit.' I said, 'You hit' I'm like, 'Where?' So I started to do CPR," her husband Kevin Vicknair said.

The couple was raising their three children in Round Rock. Lyndsey Vicknair was a lawyer and her employer's website says she was recently named "a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of Construction Litigation."
