A former Plano Independent School District teacher faces three additional charges of child abuse after an ongoing investigation revealed a pattern of misconduct stretching back before his recent termination, police say.

Paul Campbell, 64, was charged with three counts of indecency with a child. Campbell, a 25-year veteran of the district, previously taught at Brinker Elementary School.

The investigation began following the July 4th holiday weekend, when the parents of an 8-year-old second-grader reported to authorities that their daughter had been molested. School officials terminated Campbell shortly after the allegations surfaced.

Plano police stated that the subsequent investigation uncovered evidence that Campbell inappropriately touched at least two other second-grade girls.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information regarding Campbell to contact the Plano Police Department.
