A Fort Hood soldier has been arrested in a year-old killing in Killeen.
Last year, a woman was found dead in a motel room about five miles from the army post. Killeen police say a witness put Army Specialist Cory Grafton at the scene.
Now, police were able to get the warrant to arrest Grafton after the Texas Rangers matched his DNA to material found at the crime scene.
The DNA was tested through the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative which provides grants to help investigators tackle a large, national backlog in rape kits.
