The Fort Worth City Council has approved the purchase of 11.5 acres of undeveloped land near the Marine Creek Reservoir for a new park.

The site, located along Ten Mile Bridge Road, will be named Paloma Park as part of the city's Open Space Master Plan, which aims to expand public parks and recreational areas.

The land acquisition cost the city just under $3 million. However, officials have not yet set a timeline for when development will begin.
