There is good news from the Fort Worth fire department about one of their own who was injured in a serious rollover accident in early February.

Fort Worth Fire Department officials say Captain Daniel Terrell has been released from the hospital, 16 days after the fire engine he and three others were riding in crashed and rolled over.

Captain Terrell and his crew were headed to a house fire when the accident happened. Two firefighters were treated and released that day. Firefighter Clint Robinson had surgery and will have to do rehab for several months.

Officials say Captain Terrell was in pretty bad shape. He was in the ICU for a while with some pretty serious injuries. He will now spend the next couple of weeks in rehab and then will have a long healing process ahead of him.

Fire department officials say his spirits are high. The family released a statement thanking the community as well as JPS Hospital where he has been receiving treatment since the accident.
