If you missed out on spelling bee glory when you were a kid, you have a chance to redeem yourself this weekend in Fort Worth.
The Fort Worth Public Library is holding its annual Adult Spelling Bee this Sunday afternoon at the Southwest Regional Library, 4001 Library Ln. (at the corner of S. Hulen St. and Briarhaven Rd.)
Teams will compete in several rounds, which become progressively more difficult.
"The teams fill out their spelling on whiteboards and share it and the different rounds that have different themes," says Theresa Davis, Fort Worth Public Library spokeswoman, "and we just have a really great time."

If you want to take part but don't have a team, no problem!
"Solo spellers are welcome to register as well, although we do compete in teams of two to five people," says Davis. "So if someone does want to come and enjoy the fun but they don't have a whole team, they can be put on a team."
The name of the game is F-U-N.
"The librarian who moderates it (Pamela Skjolsvik) dresses like a bumblebee," Davis says, "and we have lots of laughs at this event."
The top two teams will advance to the Regional Spelling Bee, and Davis says Fort Worth has a regional title to defend.
"The winners from our Adult Spelling Bee have gone on to win the Regional Spelling Bee for the last two years," says Davis.
